How Much is Your Information Worth?

Since many years ago businesses and 3rd parties understand the value of the information that is about YOU!.

How much does it cost to have you ever wondered? Or how much does it cost for your information to get stolen?, nowadays it grows more and more value behind the information of people but not as it traditionally have been though about such as telephone numbers or a credit card. But now the most value comes from stealing facebook information, skype accounts, passwords and even paypal.

Why does this value come from so many strange places and not anymore from the more personal information?, it is because of the amount of information that comes with it. That is because having a facebook password can give a company/hacker access to a lot more information than just knowing your profile and your pictures. The amount of connectivity that you have with facebook and other services is massive which brings a vast amount of information which could be used for company research, usage statistics or just plainly stealing your information from all other websites simultaneously.

Paypal comes into play as that a paypal password is worth much more to a hacker than what it is your bank account number. The influences behind it comes from the amount of access to other accounts you get where a single bank account transaction that is made out of the usual patterns is detected a lot faster and gets blocked on the spot. Once a hacker has access to the multiple cards and accounts he can transfer himself money or make payments for goods that are digital and untraceable. By the time that the user realizes how many transactions have occurred it is already too late. An example of it is an accepted transfer between users since funds could have already been retrieved from ghost accounts or sent as global transfers to accounts that have closed hours before you notice.

Last thing to consider is that the value your information differs globally and that is because of the purposes of how much is allowed by the governments of the countries. That is, the type of transactions both monetary and digital, are regulated in different ways around the world. The examples of monetary worth we bring are for Brazil, Russia and China.
